While glazing windows, exterior and balcony doors, 2-or 3-glass package insulations can be used. All of the glass packages are selective. Selective glass is coated with a thin metallic oxide layer that retains the heat. In order to fulfil its function the selective glass is placed in the inner side of the glass package. In this way, the warmth of the room is reflected back into the room. Three panes of glass package with two selective glasses, both the inner and outer glass has a selective coating on the inner side of the glass since the metal oxide coating is not resistant to direct atmospheric effects. Therefore, such glass package must be made of a good quality by the well-known manufacturers in order to ensure they’re properly sealed.
Glass package types:
(4LE/16AST/4LE) – 1,1 W/m²K;
(4LE/12AST/4/12AST/4LE) – 0,7 W/m²K;
(4LE/14AST/4/14AST/4LE) – 0,6 W/m²K;
(4LE/18AST/4/18AST/4LE) – 0,5 W/m²K;
The units can be transparent, tinted or mirrored.
If you prefer not having glass packages installed in the doors there are plastic fillers that can easily replace the glass. The filler profile has a range choice of colours, stays warm, not afraid of direct sunlight and humidity. The high quality of filler prevents it from emitting “blisters”.
